My Time in Tamil Nadu, Chennai

It’s been nearly six months since my employer graciously sent me on a trip of a lifetime to Chennai, India.
I still can’t find the words to sum up the experience.

While I was there working for a week, most of the time it felt like anything but a work trip due to the beauty and life I got to witness.

The day my group landed we got to walk along Marina Beach, the 2nd largest beach in the world.

Maybe spent 45 minutes and might have taken 20 photos.
I did however spend a lot of time staring at and smelling the vendor food thinking about how no one told me to convert dollars to rupees before leaving the airport.

Locals approached for pictures and a random doggo joined like we were in a RPG, all while I tried my best to not upset the natural order.

The day following the 18 hour flight, and before heading to the offices, I got to see the incredible Mangadu Kamakshiamman temple (respected their no photo policy), Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram, and ultimately Krishna’s Butterball, that you’ve seen in the banner image.

Before I go, just let me say that the people of Chennai are by far the best part of the experience and I have never met anyone more kind, friendly, and community-oriented.

I loved every minute. 10/10 would do it all again.
